Rolex Vintage Bubbleback Ovetto Ref 2940 Black Gilt Glossy Original Dial

Here available one of the last bubbleback watches produced by Rolex. This watch, from 1957, bears the ref 2940. As per all the bubbleback watches its steel case measure 32mm. The lunette is smooth as it should on a 2940 ref. The black original dial is what makes this watch a bit out of the box for bubblebacks production. It’s a Swiss gilt and glossy black dial with a very modern design. The dial is flawless and still very bright. The case seems to be unpolished. Automatic 9.3/4’’’ caliber.
